About Me

I live in the North East of England, very close to Durham City. So I don't have any excuses for not taking pictures. If you've never been here - please visit, it's a beautiful part of the world.

I took up photography in 2006 as a result of researching for a new camera. I found that my old Fuji Finepix was starting to frustrate me. Although the picture quality was great (some of the shots in my gallery from the South Lakes Wild Life Park are taken on it) I found that I couldn't do what I wanted with it.

After looking about, and doing some reading and research (mainly on Amateur Photographer) I decided to go with a Digital SLR and really try and learn about photography.

This Website is a record of my progress. Now I just have to hope I learn and improve!
